James: calm, articulate, well-sequenced, inclusive but brief, everything-you-need-to-know encapsulation and the young demonstrator engaged and knows his stuff. The best "home-produced" vid I've seen! EndureRow seat. Jack

I just checked out the 1000 leagues website. Great stuff! To me that is what rowing is all about, not sitting on a machine or propelling a skinny shell that can't even handle a 15 knot chop or carry more than one day's provisions.jcaple wrote:Here's an instructional ergging video I made for my UCanRow Certification:

James, I'm adding my "thank you" for making and sharing your tutorial. I'm a newbie and this is right up my alley. I only purchased my Model D in October and videos such as yours (and the official Concept2 videos) are a tremendous help.
P.S., I love the 10,000 leagues idea & will be following. It gives a terrestrial bound, nascent ERG'er like me inspiration.

Nice job with the vid! I did one myself two years ago for my concept 2 cert. I'll be honest, I didn't listen to the whole thing, I jumped around a bit so maybe you mentioned this. Was your "subject" an experienced rower? He sure looked good to me. If he's a rank beginner.....well, you're a helluva teacher.
