 Well done Dino!!
It's a pleasure to help you crushing PBs :D 1m22 off is great!
And really well paced, the last 1k wasn't funny I guess

 I haven't planned to do a HM TT soon, but now it looks like I have to
The good thing is, I wasn't as destroyed as I expected after HM. The bad thing: When striving for sub 1h25, I'm sure this will change!
Cheers Martin :) and thanks for setting a great target... I think if you had gone 2:00/2:01 pace first time out I wouldn't have thought about it!
Don't rush to do another HM any time soon! This is the only one I think I have any chance of remaining close to you on (for now at least). It's taken me a few attempts now to get to grips with pacing it right. This was definitely the best paced so far. Annoyingly ErgData froze at 1h19m and so I dont have any data collected :x only what was logged to USB which is only the splits set. DF was 112 by the way.

1k to go actually not too bad. 6k to go though I was deciding whether I would be happy with 1:25:39 :D or should try to push it along. Once stepped up a bit to 2:00 pace then it did start to get tough but I switched to a higher handle pull, ensuring I stayed as long as possible with the same low rating and that was then sustainable... just!

I think the next target for both us will be 2:00 average pace (1:24:23)... that's quite a step up and for me at least some time away. I need to try to do that for the hour first (something you have already achieved  ).

It's great seeing a huge leap in PB, especially when it's down to someone upping the ante.
Thanks Stu... it was indeed a huge jump when I have been roughly improving by 30s each time have done a HM TT. Its all Martin's fault!!! It was 1m22 off my PB to beat Martin but my previous PB was 1:27:02 so took almost 2 mins off! Its going to be much, much tougher next time :o

I'm sure I won't get your FM time for a long time, that's definitely not in my comfort zone
At HM we can definitely challenge each other. Alasdair (jimmyshand) has almost the same HM PB as I have, but his 30-60min PBs are a good bit faster than mine, I'm sure he'll also take part in this challenge and will get results we can try to overtake. :D
With this HM time I'm sure you can already go sub 2:00 for the 1h.

So its nearly the end of the Global Marathon and Century Challenge window....

Wasn't sure I'd have time tomorrow, so it was HM time this evening. I would have been quite happy trying to knock a bit off my PB, but then a certain young Austrian went and smashed my HM PB on his first HM attempt a couple of days ago!! the cheek of it!!!! (only kidding Martin!)

Decided that it would have to be a 'three C's' workout.... Courage, Commitment, Craziness
Courage to set a pace way faster than before.... commitment to keep that pace, and craziness to attempt in the first place!
So the target was set... 1:25:40.... or 1m22 off my current PB...

Decided I would have to forgo any thoughts of negative split / ramp up / burn up at the end and go for a sustained even pace to have any chance, and then see if anything left at all at the end. Planned for 2:02 (or just under) rate 20 to 10k mark (1hr26 projected'ish), then increase the stroke rate a little. 5 or 4k to go, see if I could hold 2:00 pace.

It turned out better than expected :) and managed to set a bit of a target as well rather than just scrape inside B)
