Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Here's one for you cyclists out there: Criterium simulation. 30 minute, 10 block crit with a 1 block steep climb and one block descent. Here's the erg setup: 900m intervals with 30 second rest (the descent). from 900-700 sprint up to AT (for my first try I used 2K pace +10), then 20 strokes at max (the steep hill), then back to AT for the duration, take the :30 rest and do it again. You can put "prime" sprints in at random places and of course, the bell lap is several seconds faster with a max sprint to finish it off. That got me 8 "laps", 7841 total meters at a 2:01 pace. Next time I can go a little harder. Have fun!

Guess I'll try to start the thread back up, and I am trying to start myself back up...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?
Welcome back. It has been a while. Maybe I too should start back posting on this thread. It might inspire me to do something to post (but not boast) about. So far I have done only one workout this season - an idiotic FM attempt that ended up as a puny HM+a little. Un-rankable, but I had fun filling out 9 nonathlon categories.Nomugie wrote:Guess I'll try to start the thread back up, and I am trying to start myself back up...

Thanks, Bob. Too long actually. I am deeply out of shape and it is going to be a long process to get the fitness back.
Hope those 9 nonathalon categories shot you to the top of the rankings.

I haven't been able to go out rowing lately, but I run pretty frequently still. I did yesterday and the day before for about 20 minutes.
