First 2K of this season after last year's disaster. Not much, but is a start.

2K: 7:17.2 @1:49.3, 150DF, 30SPM. Ultimately, trying to get back to 7:00.

Welcome to the forum and you should be pleased with that Max. 60 mins on the erg is a long time especially as a relative newbie.
Thanks. Everything hurts a bit today.
Ambitions for the year are sub 7.40 2k and sub 20.00 5k. Did have a stretch target of sub 40.00 for 10k, but don't think I'll get close to that.

Will see how the 60 min sessions go. I had been racing my training so going further (never previously done more than 10k) seems like a good way of slowing down, without hurting the ego.

Full Marathon

Time.................2:58:05.4
SPM..................31
DF....................105
Pace.................2:06.6

Full Marathon this morning for the Lwt facebook group and C2 challenges.

Delighted to have set a new (all time) PB as a 61 year old Lwt (73.0k/161 lbs yesterday) beating my old one (from 2011 when I was just a youngster of 53 and Hwt). :D

Felt good all the way so maybe a faster one before the end of the season....but other things to concentrate on first!

DF was 105...compared to my usual 110.
61 year old, 73.5 kilo (162lbs), 5'8.5''/174cm (always the shortest on the podium!) male. Based in Sussex, just south of London, England. Best 2k recently...6:54.1 on the 11th November 2018.

Nice work Rod! And glad to see that age is just a number. I am feeling like maybe I should try to work towards a FM some day now.

6k today after a bit of a break from the erg. This was a re-row of the 6k i done on the 28th' of last month. Stuck with the same pace and rate, but actually felt much better this time around in the session, and end up going a tad faster overall :D Cooler conditions also were nice :)

A HM is definitely on my agenda, but I'll start with slow UT2 training, maybe a TT in a few months :D

Did a 40 minute hard but not 100% row yesterday - 10,700 meters at 1:52.1 and 20 SPM.

Was a little harder than I expected as that is my 60 minute PB pace but was able to push hard at the end. It was the day after a hard CF workout of 80 bar facing burpees and a 4k row for time, so legs were prob not quite fresh.

First real jog of the season during my lunch break at work... Might get an hour in on the erg later tonight.

3.5 Miles, 10:43 pace. Not a bad first jog for the season... But my heart rate averaged 184 the entire time. Maxed out at 193 fairly quickly and had to dial back. I apparently don't like the feeling of any training much below AT/AN heart rate... It's a struggle to feel "comfortable" in the 145-155 range for me, jogging or rowing. Internally work at those rates make me feel like I'm not going to make gains, but that's just the mental block.
