3x15min r20 for me, I'm glad I could do this much in a work day. However, I'm worried now... I noticed that I'm very sensitive to the temperature, and if it gets somewhat warm when I work out, I quickly feel like I'm sizzling on a frying pan and sweat enough to slip and mess my position on the machine while I'm rowing.
Buuut the issue is that I was planning, this summer, to buy one of these houses in Greece as a holiday house, and of course, when I'm there, I'll have to work out, so that I don't sit idle for a couple weeks and destroy my routine... But unless I exercise right under the air conditioner set at its maximal power, how am I going to survive rowing there in summer?

... edit, because I'm an idiot and noticed it as soon as I pressed the "submit" button. I'll have the sea to swim in.

Just saw this - that's a brutal session and you held a good pace! I do 4x2K at like 7 seconds above my 2k split with 5 min rest and you did like 8 seconds above split for an 8x2k with 3 min rest - that's impressive. I would say I will try this one but not sure I want to :D
Thanks Keith and yes, it is indeed a brutal bit of work but an important session to prepare me for an attempt at getting over 16k for 60 minutes so gotta be done!
That's a good goal that I reached not long ago. To reach it though I had to go at a pace that was 15 seconds above my 2K pace (final results was like 14.5) where you will be going closer to your 2K time - like 11 seconds, so much harder though you have good endurance. I wish I had some good advice for you for when you try the 60 minute but I didn't follow my plan well when I did it. I started where I wanted but then went a little too fast in the second 15 minutes which I didn't mind as it built me a cushion and I fell off some and the started playing games with power 10s every so many meters and driving overall average down and then relaxing some. At the end I was able to go faster which I never thought would be possible when I was struggling in the 3rd 15 minutes. Anyway, it wasn't paced optimally, so, will be anxious to hear how it goes when you give it a try.

10 minutes on the rower today, very slow work again (around 2:18). Just still testing out the back and working it a bit on SS days. Did 35 on the Assault Bike afterward (around 135 Watts or so). Like to do a full hour but I'm still moving in to the new home and boxes everywhere, so had to do some errands for the wife before I could workout!

This felt pretty easy to control. Very bottom of UT1 range for me.

The one 0.1 split difference messes with the perfectionist in me. I watched the monitor break from 46:40.0 to 46:40.1 during the end calculation. >.<

Damn near a perfect OCD row. Even almost had it on HR which would have been super cool

Very impressive consistency there Tenshuu, I like it a lot.

I did a fast 5k without warm up today. 18:39.6 / 1:51.9, r23. Felt not too bad. About 11 seconds slower than PB pace. Enjoyable session with limited time to spare today. First 1k at 1:56.6, everything else under 1:52. Final 1k 1:48.9.

Long easy row tomorrow probably.

Hey folks, help me come up with a birthday challenge!

3/29/1989 - 30 years - Keep it under 15km, don't go easy on me!

I'll check back later for it. Might row it tomorrow or Sunday, tonight will probably be a straight 10k, maybe even a PB attempt....

Thanks, and thanks for the pacing suggestion, wasn't sure where to aim, probably would have went fly and die otherwise
