Product Review on C Breeze

The C Breeze I ordered for PS Sports (Paul S) arrived yesterday. I ordered it because our fitness center at work just received a Model D rower (only took two years of my nagging to get it). This is great because I don't have to drive home at lunch to row and can now do longer workouts. At home I have a 20" fan in front and a small 10" fan in the back of the erg because I have been blessed with very active sweat glands. At work, there is no fan so I really sweat buckets. I was hoping that the C Breeze would solve this problem.

I had some difficulty putting it over the fan cage the first few times I tried because it kept popping off. After a few tries I think I have it perfected.

After the first couple of strokes, I could feel a strong flush of cool air coming at me. So far so good. I rowed a 12K and the first thing I noticed is that I can hear the TV a lot better without the noise of my two fans. The next think I noticed is that at about 2K, the HR reading was still not showing. It usually takes around 1k for me to start perspiring enough that the leeds on the HR strap start to pick up the signal. Actually it is less than 1K because my 1k splits always show a HR on the first one. It took a full 3k before I even started to feel like I was sweating and 3.5K before I got a HR readout. By the time I finished I had a nice sweat circle from neck to about mid chest but I was not dripping like I usually do.

On first trial, the c Breeze appears to a perfect fix for my lack of fan at work. I love it. Now just need to figure out how to get my HR monitor to get a signal quicker!

Rich

P.S. I am not in any way connected to PS Sports :D

Just wet the contacts on the chest strap when you put it on (water or saliva!!!). Works for me :-)

Rich,

I'm glad you enjoy it.

Was your heart rate any different than usual at the end of the 12k?

My Heart rates have been John.
I got the Cbreeze a few days ago and it does make a big difference.

I was sceptic but now I'm a believer

I LOVE MY C-Breeze.
Never checked the difference with the HR, though :?

When your body is being assisted in cooling by the fan / Cbreeze it won't have to work as hard to cool itself = lower HR for same pace. My Cbreeze replaced my fan (and gave me extra floorspace).

When on my bike and rollers I use 2 fans, 1 head height 1 floor.

Some folk say they like to sweat buckets during a workout, makes them feel they're getting a better workout. I suggest to them that maybe they should train their "go faster system" rather than their "cooling system".

Cheers,
