Vacation and training

Post by PaulG » July 5th, 2008, 11:18 pm

I will be going on a 2 week vacation before I finish the 16 week UK interactive program I am following. I'm in week 8 and will be leaving in week 11 or 12. I plan to test myself at 1k, 2k, 5k and 10k before I go. (already did 500 m). It will be an active vacation with kayaking and bicycling but absolutely no possibility of erging. Could do some running though. So, when I get back should I just pick up where I left off or start a new program?

Given that it looks like you are going to be getting plenty of exercise on this vacation, I would not expect any performance decline (you may even improve !). I would pick up where I left off.

Have fun !
