This is misleading. The body angle is set and arms are straight long before the legs are fully compressed. One does not reach at the catch. Trying to reach forward here will cause the rower to lunge. Not good.Common Errors at Point 8

For a top rowing school probably, but for the lesser schools those are fast times.
