Steve, I hope you're able to soon overcome the injuries, and be able to exercise as you wish.

I managed to take a second off my feeble time for 500 this morning, but was hoping to go somewhat faster.
My time was 2:16.1, hardly any faster than the last 1k of my 5k time trial, nor the 500 repeats from this morning.
This is added incentive to shorten the reps, and especially to lengthen the intervals, since I'm going so close to top speed.

My goals for the next month are to do shorter reps more often, improve my speed, and improve my times for the shorter distances.

30 minute pb this past Thursday. Didn't plan on going for it. Started out at 2:18 for the first ten minutes, flet good so upped the pace.

Finished with 6653 meters. Same pace as my 6k. So time to drop the 6k pace next time.

Nice improvement, Kini. :!:

I did a max low pull pb of 1:52 last Friday, as #7 of 2 sets of 10 low pull attempts with 45s rests.
Most of them took me 12 strokes to reach max, but I don't recall if that included the 2 stroke head start.
In any case, my start is quite slow. Doing 2 sets of 5 might be better, with longer recoveries, or else doing 100s.

My previous pb was 1:56 on day #10 of getting the Skierg.

Upped the meters, drop the pace on my 30 minute effort last night. 6767 meters, 38spm. Was a little sore this morning and had to forgo my 0500 6K on the erg. Oh well, there's always tomorrow.

Kini & John, these numbers are hard earned and difficult efforts! Very inspiring for me to see others working hard, motivates me to train hard (for me) as well. Comparing my best to good skiers, looks like I should choose a different sport / activity and don't deserve the machine. Our efforts are well done. When compared to the general population, am sure you're both in the top 1% :D .
Did a Skierg half marathon yesterday, 1:55. Not even tempted to look up & see where that compares. Fastest half in over a year and, at some point, will tackle my Skierg 10k PR of 49:50-ish.
Plan is to keep my running streak alive, 42 years and counting, on Thanksgiving & Christmas. Times are slower now but am still above dirt and will get it done!
