Hi,
I've used the C2 rower for some time now and have a good understanding of DF settings and use for workouts, but I am new to the Ski Erg. I've got a PM5 on both but the DF for the same damper settings are very different. The Ski Erg shows a lot lower DF at the same damper setting.
Are there recommended DF for the Ski Erg in the same way as the rower. I appreciate that the settings will always be individual but Concept 2 and British Rowing do provide some guidance based on age/gender.
Any info or advice would be appreciated.
Alex

Re: Ski Erg DF v Rower
A good bit lower, I use roughly 125 on the rower and 75 on the skierg for longer sessions. Only short high intensity work higher drag is usefull, although most people are not strong enough to use really high drags.
A lower drag gives a much more precise, smooth stroke, the fan keeps spinning faster.
The skierg works smaller muscle, upperback, lats, triceps, legs don,t do direct work neither does the spine, rating is also a good bit higher, so less drag is better.

This is because of the front plate, which reduces air flow .alexburton wrote:I've got a PM5 on both but the DF for the same damper settings are very different. The Ski Erg shows a lot lower DF at the same damper setting.
On RowErg I use: 110I appreciate that the settings will always be individual but Concept 2 and British Rowing do provide some guidance based on age/gender.
On SkiErg I use: 90-105 (depending on type of workout and mood
