Hernia Injury

Post by Old Gringo » March 22nd, 2020, 9:13 pm

Anyone had any experience with a hernia injury while training on Skierg? How did you rehab after surgery? How successful have you been coming back? I have been training on Skierg for three plus years, along with rode cycling and Assault bike. 74 year old male. Active all my life. Thought all was going well. Then this injury.

Any age, make sure of your basic core strength.
You must have a stable core for cycling for example. 15 years of road racing will give you great back muscles but does nothing for the stomach.
Incline bench curls for starters before and after erging or cycling.
Book a good chiropractor for tips.
SkiErg: 65yr m. 19/20 season so far 1,300,147m nearly there.
