I can understand why some people think Jeff has a strange body. It's a different look, I can't really tell why. He claims to be natural so maybe that's it - roids can take your muscles to a different level and therefore a different look. But he is truly ripped and definitely got some muscle, not to mention he allegedly stays like that all year round.
Also he's ugly as fuck.

Ive seen clips of him when he was young and he was quite a skinny guy. Definately proves anybody can make progress with years of dedication, even while being natural and a skinny/hardgainer body type. His conditioning makes him look much bigger. Not sure of his age but id guess 50's?

Not to contradict myself, but it is possible he could be on TRT or anavar or something similar...wouldnt surprise me. Alot of bull in the fitness industry...but i would be dissapointed if Jeff was on steroids. I like his videos even if they are a little too technical.

Can't be bothered to go back but I assume we're on about Jeff from AthleanX? I do think his look is entirely possible naturally. Here's my take - shortish guy who wanted to change (let's be honest about it I think there is a disporoprtionate amount of guys trying to get big who aren't THAT tall - maybe some sort of insecurity - v common thing in the fitness industry) dedicates himself to the theory and practice of training and nutrition and makes that part of his identity on a lifelong basis. It's also an advert for what is his job. I mean, would you take advice from say a nutritionist who was obese? No. I wouldn't either. In theory such a person could be extremely swtiched on and effective in their chosen domain but somehow if they don't practice what they preach to some degree even, it just doesn't seem right.

Cant fault your logic, however it never ceases to amaze me the amount of out of shape NVQ level = "dipstick" personal trainers in my gym. Two have visible man moobs and hanging guts. One of the two is an old school friend and is now the general manager of the branch i go to...not your average "no nothing" PT...he got a MSc in strength and conditioning. I get that shift work is tough, i worked shifts at a taxi cab office and my weight climbed up...but if youre going to work in the fitness industry your body is your billboard.

Yeah, Jeffs an interesting case for me. Im more on the otherside of the fence tbh, though i can see the logic for both sides of the argument. He is very much on the borderline of what is possible for someone with his frame. Only things that make me believe he is natty are his nearly 3 decades of training and he is a physical therapist so understands all the complexities of how the body behaves. His age and conditioning make me doubt it...but great things are possible with dedication and consistency, which is why i like to think hes natty. The paper thin skin and striations all year round are suspect...its right on the limits.

The fact he is always the same, the way he trains, his bmi. Everything points to clean.

Peds do so much, if you train, and eat slightly ok is almost impossible to not grow. The moment guys start using you see it within weeks. The moment they take a break ditto

I think that guys body looks ugly lol. Them veins...

Good channel tho.
I think you might be responding to the imbalance the youtube guy has, he also has a narrow frame. Big bicepts with relatively small forearms just look weird and non-functional to me.

that fella in the pic is stonkin' though, yikes!

Agreed. His size and conditioning is not excessive and he has been in the industry a long time with no major shift in physique. I maintain that he is on the borderline of what is possible naturally but i do think that is down to sheer hardwork. If in another 10yrs when he is approaching 60 and still looking the same, i would be alot more suspect. Either way, his channel is a font of knowledge and has helped me alot...even if he does overcomplicate some things.

Don,t know his exact age, but ofcourse after 50 the decline does start, nomatter what, face, skin joints, it will get worse.

Don,t follow his much, but nomatter what, he does well, has a lot of followers, tells no bullshit and stays in shape always.
And keeping a channel going and comming up with new stuff is tough, impossible if you ask me, thats why he so detailed. Nothing new to tell anymore.

Especially difficult if the youtuber doesn't have an additional "slant" to videos. What seems to do well in terms of views and likes among fitness youtubers, is when they incorporate their ongoing "story" and so it becomes more of a lifestyle thing often with humour. Just look at the popularity of "MattDoesFitness", "Mike Thurston" or "How To Beast" etc. By definition such channels have more material to work with because they're not just teaching theory.
