Illiosoas Tendonitis....

Post by Muffdiever » May 12th, 2010, 7:20 pm

Hi guys, Only 1 week with my model D into and im already out with tendonitis on my right hip flexor tendon. I guess a 30 minute row for meters, and 2 x 500M sprint rows in a week, along with some other rowing sessions, was over-training?? Im angry that this happened but I guess it can only be blamed on improper form i had on the first few rowing sessions and with bad form in sprinting sessions i assume this can lead to a tendonitis injury?

Does anyone have experience with this type of injury? Was I rowing/training too much? I hate seeing this machine in my workout room and not being able to use it......Any help is much appreciated on healing up quick and preventing in the future

Go easy during recovery.
This type of complaint is common for rowers.
Lengthening the psoas and the Quadratus Lumborum are of paramount importance...

Thanks. Hmm. The pain feels like a bruise right at the attachment point. I dont feel it while rowing or walking etc but i can tell it is irritated around there and probably at the beginning of worse stages, hence im going to take it easy. I stretch all the time....maybe too much...I'll checkout these stretches though. appreciate it

I also suggest core work with very light weight to work the lateral movements.
