Hello,
I am a 33-year-old male who had a spontaneous pneumothorax last week. I will undergo a VATS surgery with a partial pleurectomy this week.
I want to ask if anyone else shares the same or a similar story.
Did anyone of you suffer from pain after the surgery when rowing? And did anyone of you suffer from chronic or neuralgic pain after the surgery?
I'm concerned, that the surgery might have an effect on my rowing.
Of course, the first days and weeks are going to be different, but I hope to row myself back in shape after 1to 2 months.
Thank you for your replies and keep on rowing.
Greetings from the hospital,
Simon

I’m sorry, I can’t answer your questions. But I wish you all the best, I hope it all goes well.

Best of luck with your recuperation, and I've never heard of a pneumothorax nevermind suffered from it.

Had to look that one up. What, if any activity were you doing when it occurred. Never experienced that and don’t know anyone who has prior. Best of luck with your surgery and recovery. Sounds a bit painful when that happens.
