NARC Team Rowing Statistics - LUNA-TICS Team
Virtual team members participating in the NARC as part of the Luna-Tics team will be able to find the daily statistics for the team at this topic location. Because the team for NARC includes members who are not necessarily part of the year-round team, we will post these numbers separately - and continue to provide the year-round team statistics in the team "room" for the Luna-Tics in the Team section of the Forum Index.
Statistics to be posted for NARC will be:
Total meters rowed by the team for the day
Total meters rowed by the team for the challenge
The Podium (thanks Nathaniel for this): Top 3 distances rowed for the day
Meters contributed by each team member for the day
Stay tuned for the start of the statistics postings on Sunday, March 16th. We currently have 77 team members enrolled in the NARC effort for the Luna-Tics. We are glad to accept new members up until the deadline for doing so (I believe the roster is "locked" as of March 28th, but I will verify.)
Suggestions, thoughts are welcome.

Also I have used the NewGrips now for five days. I'll never row without them. Did a short piece yesterday without the NeewGrips and my fngers hurt so bad I had to quit.

NARC - Day 2 Summary
At the end of day 2, we were in 2nd place by a few meters!
We've called 30 teammates back from shore leave into the boat: 15 of these are year-round crew and 15 are new to us for the challenge. Welcome all and thank you for your strong rowing! For perspective, on day 1 there were 253 rowers in the challenge. As of day 3 (AM), there are 448. These will by dynamic numbers!
Total meters on the challenge at the post time was 487,266 m
Total meters for day 2 = 268,259 m (I think)
Stellar effort! Row strong!

NARC Competition: Day 4

And the leads change once again! We're somewhere in the top 4 (anywhere from 2 to 4th, depending upon which team has posted last!)
We have 38 crew members in the boat propelling us forward! Looks like 23 from the year-round team, and 15 crew for the virtual race. Used to be that during competitions Dan would be driven to row before work - now he's rowing in the middle of the night too! There are some amazing numbers being posted by the whole team in this challenge!
Day 1 - 253 rowers in challenge
Day 2 - 448
Day 3 - 670 in the boats!
We're In 2nd Place

To answer your query, no I don't own any kind of bike, the nearest being an elliptical trainer!
I have been travelling in Cambodia for the last three weeks, so entered the Challenge a few days late. I was aiming for 15000m yesterday, but after three weeks off found it hard to complete and handled down after 11000m.
I hope to recover soon and continue with normal training (Pete Plan modified to three times weekly, and PB attempts on Sundays)
Best wishes to all,
Alistair, in Penang, Malaysia
