Wondering what owners think now a couple weeks out.
Hey all, I noticed there isn't much activity here but I figured that may be the case since they are backlogged and it's probably also not an item people will rush out to buy.
However I was wondering what owners/users are still thinking after the initial "newness" wore off. Are you doing the training plans or has it made it into your rotation?
I am planning to get one because I think the concept is neat and it could be a cool addition to my setup.

I've had mine a few weeks now and I still like it. I row most days and then use the StrengthErg three days a week. I use the General conditioning plan on the C2 website.
My wife, who was never interested in any form of weight training, uses it three days a week, which is a major plus.

Great to hear. I think I would have a similar use case. My wife has wanted to do some strength workouts, but we typically didn't workout together at the gym. I normally did 531 style workout and didn't feel confident training someone in those movements especially when she has had back and knee issues.

I love it. I bought it mainly for my legs which have gotten weak while I deal with knee injuries.
However - it’s going to be a very very long time before I get off damper setting one for the arm pushes and pulls.
I would be interested in a double D style pull handle like the cable machines have.
I’ve tried to find reviews on Instagram and YouTube. Not many out there , I did find one where someone was doing a one at a time leg push exercise. I also have a model D RowErg. When my knees allow I’ll be using both.

Yea there isn't much stuff out yet and I have watched all the available reviews.
I am just being impatient. I placed an order a week ago and it looks like it won't ship until the 14th.

StrengthERG
I've been really interested in one of these. I'm leaning more toward the functional strength perspective (I'm in my 30s). I've heard people chock it up to something only for rehab or geriatrics. I'm curious to see if they are wrong?
How are you liking it? Worth the money? Do you feel like it's a full body workout? If you could only have one Concept2 machine would it be this, why or why not?

Re: StrengthERG
Geriatrics? Maybe, I'm 73. However I didn't buy it because of that. I like it and I do feel like it's a full body workout for arms and legs. I think it is worth the money because it is one unit that can be used for strength training, it's simple to setup and switch between exercises. I can hop on the machine, sit and do all three workouts in a short amount of time. No need to change weights or deal with dumbbells. My wife also uses it and likes the ease of use and simple setup between exercises. She wouldn't use any strength training otherwise. The app, I use an iPad and not a PM5, is easy to use and launch, and view the workouts during the workouts, and the app also records the workout data.Hurlyburly wrote: ↑May 29th, 2025, 12:08 amI've been really interested in one of these. If I could only have one Concept2 machine it would not be this. It would be the RowErg, which I had before I got the StrengthErg. I love my RowErg the WOD, the monthly challenges, the app, and I enjoy rowing.

I finally got it and put it together last night. Now quick initial impressions are it's really neat and what I was expecting. All of the movements feels really good but I think the leg press is a bit of an adjustment. When you start pushing real hard and get into the flow it's really easy to shift in your seat a bit.edward.jamer wrote: ↑May 28th, 2025, 6:20 amSo it's arrived and you have first impressions by now?ChrisRowErg wrote: ↑May 9th, 2025, 2:43 pm...

I plan to do the benchmarks this weekend and then go through the training plans on their site.
As of right now the only pet peeve s that ERG Data adds a lot of bloat to your logbook. It records every set as a separate entry so if you do 5 sets of chest press you will see 5 entries.
I have to believe that will eventually change and they will allow you to build out a workout that consists of multiple sets and multiple movements and it would just log as a single entry.
