2009 Nonathlon Over!

Post by PaulH » May 12th, 2009, 7:04 am

Another year, another inexplicable desire to be better at rotating a flywheel by arbitrary amounts. The 2009 Nonathlon has now closed. Congratulations to Rowan, fish and Ergonaut, our top 3 finishers (and a fine law firm in the making). That makes a double for Rowan, and a fine performance from fish to leapfrog Ergonaut, a winner himself in 2007.

The good news is that, while the targets to beat get harder for everyone, they generally get 'more harder' for the people at the top, giving the rest of us a chance to catch up. I also cunningly arranged to get a year older over the last year, making my targets that little bit easier - you should all try it.

Thanks to everyone who took part (324 people logged at least one score). I hope we'll see you all improving your times, and more importantly your fitness, over the coming year.

Cheers, Paul and Cran

Wow polynomial equations to rank everyone's times is a great idea. This stuff never ceases to amaze me. It was great looking at last year's rankings and times. I will have to enter some of my times this year. I am nowhere near ready for a half or full marathon but it will be fun to enter my shorter distances.

Thanks for another fine season PaulH & Cran. It remains a great incentive to challenge ourselves throughout the year. B)
