bringing down my 2K score

Post by lynn » August 11th, 2009, 9:40 pm

I am relatively new to rowing but I love it.
I need to get my 2K score down fast into the 7:30's.
I have been rowing for 1 year but we have had boathouse
issues so we have not been able to work on Ergs.
My second only score in July was 7:55.
How much time days/months do you think it will take to take
20 seconds off time? I am female 5'11" and 155 pounds.
Any advice welcome.

Lynn, you may want to search the archives for some past responses to the same question. In a nutshell, my success in the February competitions comes after establishing a solid base (long rows right now) and then shorter more intense workouts (intervals, etc.) as you approach the events. My goal is to bring 6 minutes this year.
