Ergomarathon 2014

Post by Ergomarathon » June 29th, 2013, 2:14 pm

Dear rowing friends,

We (the organizing committee) are working on the preparations for the ErgoMarathon 2014. Since earlier this year the ErgoMarathon 2013 had to be cancelled unfortunately due to organizational problems we are working on some changes for the Ergomarathon 2014 like the contest program. We are planning to announce soon a final date for the ErgoMarathon 2014.We like to involve (potential) participants on preparations and possible adjustments. We do this through Twitter (Ergomarathon2014) and fora such as this Forum.

If you have ideas or plans to take part at the Ergomarathon 2014 in Asten (Netherlands) we would like to ask you the following questions:

1. What suggestions do you have regarding scheduling a date for ErgoMarathon 2014 in February or March 2014?(The weekend of 1 and 2 March is excluded)
2. There is the idea to put a 10 kilometers on the program.
a.Wat do you think of this idea?
b.And would you like to participate at this distance, the Half Marathon or Marathon?
3. Do you have some ideas or suggestions for the Ergomarathon 2014 ?
4. Would you like it, if you are considering to participate, to be personally informed by (e-mail) on the preparations and possible adjustments?

Please send a response as soon as possible and thanks you for the response.

Sincerely,
Victor Ruhlmann

You should post on http://concept2.co.UK/forum there are more folk over there who are more likely to take part in a continental competition.

I think a march date would be great. Most 2k competitions end in February. That would allow a few weeks for distance prep work.
