I'm currently going into my junior year, I would like to get recruited to a top level college. I am currently a lightweight, should i worry about getting my weight adjusted times down or gain weight and get my raw times down.

I'm not an expert, but I think you should focus on getting as strong and as fast as you can. Get into a good training plan, preferably with a coach and stick to it.

As for lightweight vs open weight. I think it really matters what you weigh now and if you are done growing? If you are close to the boundary as a junior in high school, it will be a really tough to keep making weight as you "fill out".

The reason i am asking this question is because I am 135 pounds, currently I am competing with many of the heavier lightweights. I am scared that when I get to college I won't be able to compete due to my size.
