Just wondering who has won the most world titles and/or records?

Names I'm hearing are Phil Clapp, Shawn Baker and Ward Lemmelijn.

You need to decide what counts for you as some can be very "sniffy" about anything but an open title. So is it simply the fastest times ever posted? If so just checkout 20-29 and 30-39. Or do you credit age group records/titles? In the younger age groups most of the records are spread across a number of athletes. As you work further through the ages the "best" tend to get the records across more events - so they have more records. Indeed if athletes stay dedicated as they age, the excceptional can continue to hold records they set when younger as well as taking records as they reach the older categories. Andy Benko a good example of that, but even in the younger set, Phil Clapp has records in the 20-29 and 30-39 groups - some of which are the best scores ever produced by anyone. TJ Oesterling has many records in the older categories and may well have the most overall. Records tend to get broken and re-broken over time so extra respect is due to those who really move the goal posts on and set a score not bettered for many years - Rob Waddell has some of the longest standing records...
