Impressive debut -- American marathon record 70-79 lwt men

Post by Ralph Earle » August 19th, 2014, 4:35 pm

Martin Tombari, of Austin Texas, has been recognized by C2 as the new American marathon record holder among 70-79 lightweight men, with a time of 3:12:14.9. That is more than 5m30s faster than the previous record!

This is his first appearance in the rankings. Google has a lot of professional information about him (professor/statistician/evaluator of education reforms), but nothing about his rowing experience. Does anyone know his athletic background?
