Erg Data

I have some questions about Erg Data - among many other topics about rowing - but figure I'll start with Erg Data.

Details: Android Phone, PM5 Model D

5'10", 205#'s, 51 years old

There seems to be an option to "weight adjust for 205#'s". When I select this, my split times go (for this mornings 500m x 8 session) from an average of 144.3 to 138.1

So, what exactly is this telling me? That I'd be rowing a split of 138.1 if I were 165#'s or some other weight?

It's probably applying the silly formula that's used at ... calculator to turn sensible, comparable figures from the monitor into complete nonsense. Because using weight without using height is not going to give you anything useful (in just the way the PM2/PM3/PM4/PM5 calories are a pile of junk).

I never look at weight adjustment scores as it just complicates, and it's not the time that I achieved.

Ergdata is a good app, but that function is of no use to the vast majority
