Hitting the front waaaay too easily
I just got back on a concept 2 after using a Brand-X ergo over lockdown. I found myself hitting the front (with my hands rather than the seat) on every stroke and with good /possibly too upright posture. I'm not particularly tall for a rower (6'2'') and I was under the impression all c2s have the same dimensions. I doubt I've got any more flexible since I was last on a c2 but it was actually really annoying because I couldn't get the nice long strokes Id like to for UT2 stuff. Has anybody experienced this or know if there's a possibility the erg is smaller than usual.

It's a technique problem. All rowergos (unless they have the extra long rail for the 6'10" folks) are the same length (and have been since the model C came out in 1993).

I'd guess that you're over compressing at the catch if you're not leaning forward too much, but it does seem strange that you're feet aren't hitting the seat.
Do you have a longer arm span than height? It's common for it to be very similar, but it's not really unusual to have longer arms than is normal. Basketballers quite often have longer arms.

Assuming you're on a Mod C, D or E...& you're hitting the handle on the chain guard? I agree with Dougie...must be your technique....unless you have the proportions of an orangutan?
All kidding aside, post a video of your erging on youtube & post the link here. The guys here will be able to help you.
