Upload a picture

Hi all,
I need help
I'm trying to upload a picture to the server for my profile but this keeps popping up:
Thank you for your upload
You may only upload jpg files. Please use your back button to try again
It's 300/280 and 40kb and it's a jpg file,
Why??
Any advise??

Maybe you could try trim the file to just under 40kb and try again. The size could be what's triggering the error.

Actually, a lot under 40K. According to the info on the profile page where you upload:
Displays a small graphic image below your details in posts. Only one image can be displayed at a time, its width can be no greater than 126 pixels, the height no greater than 126 pixels, and the file size no more than 10 KB.
You said your file was 300 x 280 and 40K. The error message, however doesn't describe that problem. Were you uploading the image from your computer or from a web page? If it was from a web page, the photohosting site might not include the .jpg extension (even though it is one). You might have to add that...or download to your computer so that you can upload it as a jpg that will be recognized by the forum.

I tried the smaller, under 40K, upload,
same result!
Alissa, I'm trying to get a picture
uploaded for the main profile, not the avatar that is used for the forum, the avatar is up! as you can see, or am I missing something here!

Anyone, other ideas?
I had the same problem with the profile picture uploading page (we all used to send pictures to Dena at C2). I mentioned my failed efforts to her, and eventually had to email her the picture.

FYI--Got upload to work using MS Explorer as browser instead of Mozilla Firefox.
