Hi all,

I just bought a smartcard reader off of amazon to try with the concept2 logcard utility.

This is the one:

Has anyone else tried this one? I guess I should have read the C2 website before ordering and gotten the omnikey because this one appears not to work. The computer recognizes it and finds the drivers so it shows up right in the device manager, but when I open up the log card utility (v6.10) nothing happens.

Any advice on getting this to work? I can't get my computer near enough to the rower to just go directly to the pm3 and I don't want to spend another 30+ to get a different brand reader.

Thanks!

It is my understanding that this reader does not support I2C type memory-only cards, and therefore is incompatible with the Concept2 LogCard. If it were to be compaible, then Concept2 would need to update our software to look for this type of reader before it could be made to work. I am sorry I do not have better news...

PS: If anyone believes differently about the compatibility of the reader's ability to use I2C memory cards, please free to email me...

Thank you for the reply. I will look into getting one of the other readers.
