RowPro newbie question

Post by wilyliam » January 19th, 2015, 11:04 am

Greetings! I tried a quick search, didn't find anything, I suspect my question is very very basic ...

I just tried RowPro for the first time yesterday - I downloaded the Demo and it was great! But it didn't save my row to the log. Is that because it's the Demo version, or did something go wrong? I rowed 15K, which I set up on the PM5 - when I completed it, RowPro seemed to acknowledge it was done, but the only option at that point in the software was to exit the application ... again, is this because it was the Demo version?

Hope my question isn't too dumb ...

Demo (trial) version is fully functional, AFAIR. I suspect your data did not save because you rowed as a GUEST_USER - you need to set up a new user and row using its profile. But I may not remember this correctly - email Pam of DigitalRowing (paml[AT]digitalrowing.com) - she will help you. And buy the app, you will not regret it.

I made the account for myself - that didn't seem to make a difference. (And I did buy the software.)

Interestingly, I set up workouts using RowPro, and those work just fine and save to the log - so it appears only to be the "Just Row" function that somehow ends with the software basically unresponsive ...

Thanks for the email address, I'll give that a try.

I just checked RP - under User Settings / Session Settings the first toggle box seems to suggest that "Just Rows" are not recorded. But I still remember rowing a few meters in Just Row and still getting them to clutter my database. But I am not close to an erg to test it at the moment.

They got back to me yesterday and confirmed that only workouts that are set up in the software are recorded and that setting up workouts on the PM will cause precisely the problem I had. Lesson learned.

Thanks for the help!
