Please Help, RowPro wont open!

I receive the following error when I try to open RowPro. I have run RowPro on this computer before and it worked fine but the 4.2 upgrade seems to have broken the program. I emailed RowPro, but I get no response. My computer specs are as follows:

Windows 8.1
I5 4670k @ 3.4 ghz
16 GB RAM
Geoforce GTX 760 3GB

I did as I said in my original post, three in fact, but still no response.

I did find a temp work around, which is to run the program as admin, but this is kind of a pain and would like RowPro to function as it is supposed to...

Anyways hopefully someone, whether the folks at RowPro or someone on here, can help.

I'm just guessing here, but did you run the installation of 4.2 as administrator? While you're waiting for Digital Rowing to reply, might be worth re-running the 4.2 upgrade while logged in as administrator to see if that resolves the issue.

Given that you mention that the problem started with the upgrade, and doesn't appear when you run RowPro as admin, I think this might be a possible fix.

There are two versions of 4.2 and its not clear on the downloads.

One is the new version install and the other is an upgrade from an earlier version.

May pay to backup the logbook and settings if you have any so its an easy import later, uninstall it and start again.

Your PC Spec will eat it so no problems there. I run it on

Windows 8.1
Pentium 4 3.2GHz
2 Gb RAM
Sapphire HD6670 1Gb

Not sure about running it as an Admin, I just installed it and registered it online by putting in my licnce number and your away.
