New to the forum

Hi everyone,

I just put together my new Mod D erg this evening and did my first workout. Gotta say I'm impressed with the erg. I'm a very large guy at 370 pounds. My first concern with any piece of equipment is, will it hold me. The unit feels super solid and well built. I did 3 sets of 6 minutes doing another exercise between sets. I workout with kettle bells for strength and flexibility. So I'm using those between sets on the rower for now. My goal is 250 lbs. I used to love running but an injury / bone spur grown into my Achilles tendon keeps me from jogging. That's why I bought the Mod D. I'm glad to report zero pain in my ankle / calf using the rower. My hip abductors gave out before my wind did and look forward to my body acclimating to the rower for longer pull times and weight loss. I also look forward to reading more posts on here. They seem to be very informative.

Best Regards,

Tony

Slow and steady, don't overdo it as you can end up with injuries easily. I've seen posts from others much heavier than you or so it shouldn't be a problem.

Cheers,
