New York Clubs?

Post by glidegirl » February 8th, 2009, 10:05 am

Anyone in NYC belong to an indoor club? I would love to connect with others in the city. I'm new to this and would like to get ideas on training schedules etc - yesterday I did a 5,000 in 22:31:3 and am wondering what a good target time is for my next row?

Cheers!

Click on locations. It shows one for NYC, in Rockefeller Plaza, but if you dig into it there is at least one more.

The NYAC has a program but their boathouse is not exactly in Manhattan, although you can take the New Haven line to the Pelham Station to get there. I don't know much about their program, I know they have a competitive program and more recreational program.

If you wanted to go a little further and get to Princeton at ~5-5:30am you could join the Carnegie Lake Rowing Association (www.clra.com). A little crazy I realize.
