Didn't I read a while back that the fluid is all rusted out and has to be replaced because of buckets of sweat coming from ranger?

Do you think his sweat is corrosive like his personality???

Of course my camera is on a tripod. Where else would it be while I am rowing? My camera does not have a lens that lets me position it for a straight on shot when I am rowing. So I have to shoot from the side.

I am busy finishing up the semester.

Three more classes and I am done for the summer.

Then, sure, I will be rowing OTW a lot.

My job isn't rowing, and I am not yet retired.

I erg when in the early morning when it is still dark.

I suspect my OTW stroke will be pretty different than it was last year.

My erg stroke is.

As I mentioned, I have learned to relax my shoulders and abs at the catch, and keep my shoulders relaxed when I engaged my abs and swing my back.

That is what has made it possible to row so well at 95 df.

Until now, I couldn't really row at 95 df. at all.

Well my camera does not have a lens that shoots around corners either. It's called positioning it straight on. But that is beyond your abilities it seems

Right, I understand perfectly. Being tenured is such a tough life. It is a frantic life from daybreak till sunset every day, and we couldn't possibly be away from our office for a few hours during daylight.

Nudge, nudge, wink, wink.

To get a good shot, it is to be within a few feet of the monitor.

I can't position it behind me.

I didn't say it was tough. I said it took up my time. No, I am not in the office. I am reading, writing, preparing lectures, grading papers, meeting with students, attending talks and meetings, doing administrative work, etc.

BTW, the tech guy in my department is willing to set up Boot Camp for me on my MacBook Pro. He says it is pretty labor intensive, though, and can't do it until after the end of the semester a week from this coming Tuesday. Nice! I don't have to purchase the software or do the labor of setting it up.

Think about it. You don't have to splay the legs on the tripod all the way. Then you can get the camera right up to the PM and still have room so the handle does not hit the tripod. Just technologically impaired

Tech guy must think about as much of you as we do. FUD.

In _front_ of me?

Ya gotta be kiddin'.

Good luck with that one.

On some strokes, I get the handle right up to the crankcase.

And even so, you would enjoy rowing your face repeatedly into a big piece of equipment forty time a minute?

I might be technologically impaired.

But you are visually, mentally, and aesthetically impaired.

If my tech guy does it, I don't have to buy Windows or Boot Camp.

I only have to buy erg monitor.

What do I save?

$200?

More?

In the introduction to erg monitor, it says that the software for the Model D only works on desktops not laptops.

Is that true?

Is so, why?

Whom you like and dislike depends on your own sorry self.

It doesn't have anything to do with those you are judging.

Social communities as a whole are even worse in this respect.

They love the lowest common denominator.

Leave no child behind.

Give 'em an "A" for effort.

Or, as it is now, heck, effort or no, give 'em an "A."

You wouldn't want to hurt their feelings or jolt them out of their self-delusion.
