U.S. Navy Team is OPEN

Post by tpurdy » March 14th, 2011, 12:34 pm

If you have any logical affiliation or affection for the U.S. Navy, please join this team and show your appreciation for those who are currently serving by rowing well! Our current goal - best military team in WEC2011 in honor of our deployed shipmates and their families.

Your participation is greatly appreciated and will help U.S. Navy remain one of the top military teams. Everyone is welcome, and younger team members should expect a challenge from the regular team members in their 40's, 50's and 60's.

Welcome aboard! Tom

Don't think it's quite open yet for 2012. As soon as it is, I'm in!

Confused. I have no real affiliation with the U.S. Navy. But can I row with them as a genuine gesture of support and appreciation? I thought the Military Challenge was open only to military personnel, and I'm neither military nor a U.S. citizen.

No, you don't have to be in the Navy. It's an open team and anyone can join. To join, log in to your on-line logbook and click "teams" at the top. It will walk you through it. I don't think there is an individual challenge, but there are prizes for the top men and women.

I'm in! Go Navy!
