Hey everyone,
I am a Marine stationed in Jacksonville NC. I recently got into indoor rowing about a year ago. Started an online log book and realized I am halfway decent. I have been looking into some indoor rowing competitions and cant seem to find to many. I am not sure if im looking in the right spots or not. It seems every event I see are like the championship events. Can anyone help me out an point me in the right area as to where I can start?
Where do I even start???

There are two types of people in this world: Those who can extrapolate from incomplete data

Another option is to track down other rowers in your general area and hook into the local network. The C2 rower finder is one way to find where some of the rowers in commercial gyms and schools in a given area are, and from there contact the folks involved with rowing:
https://www.concept2.com/indoor-rowers/finder
If you use the finder and plug in Zip 28540 and radius of 40 miles (about what it takes to get a bunch of hits) you'll see that the Crossfit boxes in Wilmington seem to have most of the ergs in the area. I'm not sure how helpful they would be, but It can't hurt to call the folks at the biggest one (see info at bottom) and ask who their rowing guru is.
Good Luck

I have a rower at my house. I guess it’s just getting to talk to someone who is familiar with the erg community. I might be giving that gym a call though. Thanks!

"championships" are open to all so don't be put off by the title - the erg community is very accepting of people of all levels of performance and it is a lot of fun racing in real time.Ev_Littlefield wrote: ↑August 29th, 2019, 3:07 pmHey everyone, I am a Marine stationed in Jacksonville NC. there are on line rowers using Rowpro regularly
There are virtual competitions as well online www.c2ctc.com where you join a team and compete each month for a different challenge.

Just saw this - go to https://www.regattacentral.com/ and you can look for indoor races there. Most don't start until winter though so there wont be a lot posted yet. I think there were 2 in NC this past Feb./March.Ev_Littlefield wrote: ↑August 29th, 2019, 3:07 pmHey everyone,
