We do have one Henry thanks to martin's wife Verena and 2 ready to go with a lady - Lizh has indicated that she should be Ok tomorrow to have a go - hopefully there are a couple of other women lurking.

Holidays? What a novel idea! I want one. Jean sez she’ll do it when she’s darn well ready, which may be before end of month :?:

Red Line Rowers {Why aren’t they called Red Line Tubers? Or Red Line Riders?} have kindly revealed the absolutely shocking significance of their September offering. R is the 18th letter of the Anglo alphabet, L the 12th, etc. Presumably the noughts are in there for fiber.

 yep, fibre - not too indigestible though. Had a go at it this morning - made my pitch for boat 1  Didn't go as bad as I thought it might.

Been rowing only very sporadically over the last year, and not much other cross training, aerobic stuff recently. Blasted foot still not returned to normal. 2.5s outside my 5k pb pace. Ended up pacing it fairly evenly I think - just tried to keep as many 2:20s (or as close to) on the monitor as poss. First 2 intervals probably a bit fly and die. Completely lost any pacing nouse I (may have) had! All the same, I'm happy with the performance, the meters, and to be on the board though! Oh, also tried this in some new shoes - an old Merrell barefoot model - no cushioning, no heel, very flexible - felt really good in the gym and on the erg.

Hey Paul. Nice effort. Those zero drop Merrells are working for you. Curious about the row report foto. Is it a composite?

Jack - yes, it's from Strava. I've got my C2 logbook linked to my Strava. When I sync in ErgData, the workout goes to both the logbook and to Strava including that photo. However, as with most things Strava, it has its limitations - you never get a page 2 of the screen, and also the bottom line of a full page 1 is usually missing - so not good for more than 3 or 4 intervals or lots of splits...

Morning all

1st boat floated

Will have another couple of goes at this one, good for the sole, but I just fell apart with about 500m to go on the last rep. the 2hrs swimming the night before might be something to do with it.

Also noticing that the older I get the less i seem to like rowing at 6am!!

Well done to you both Chris - good that we are up and running early.
I much prefer afternoon training but needs to fit into the rest of our lives.
