Audio Guidance for Distance Rather Than Time

Post by PittRower62 » September 6th, 2022, 8:24 pm

Am I the only one who would find the ability to get audio guidance based on distance rowed rather than time beneficial?

Can you explain this one a bit more? Like what's the situation that you would use this? And is the audio guidance calling out the distance, the time, either or both? Thanks!

The C2 site says this about Accessibility:

We’ve worked with the American Council of the Blind to help make ErgData accessible for a wide audience. As well as being able to choose easily readable displays, the app can use voice guidance to send audible workout data and results.

Ergdata has a Settings page with Audio Guide which if ON allows control of voice volume and speed as well as for info on distance, time, pace, average pace, HR, rating etc.

Tried it. Necessary conditions seem to be:
Keep it simple: Just Row.
Have a silent D.
Don't fiddle with the original Ergdata displays.
Slow talk, high volume.

My ergdata version talked in Italian, but with a US accent, hard to understand over the noise of my old C.
