How to start in c#

I'm new here.

Recently bought a BikeErg and being a developer, I want to tinker with this machine.

But on the softwarepage (https://www.concept2.com/support/software-development), I only find a PDf with the protocol specifications.

I looked around, but didn't find any wrappers for C#.
How can I start with the implementation of the communication?

Do I need to look for a CSAFE wrapper for c#?

There are some open source projects that provide an abstraction layer for the communication. OpenRowing.com is working on ine as well.
