This would turn out to be the 7th of March. I will keep track of infos and write about it, when there is some update
I was hoping for the weekend before, as that might take a bit of persuasion with Dangerspouse as that's her birthday weekend, but I'll start working on it now and if it is the weekend before then that's all good
Oh, get it

Then I hope it will be the other weekend!

New 500m skierg PB during gym warmup

New 500m skierg PB
dang, that's good.. What's your best 2000m ski?
Envious - the nearest SkiErg to me is 45 miles away and in another state. I sometimes loop resistance bands around my chinup bar and pretend, but it is just not the same.

Thanks

Using the skierg only in the gym during warmup, so not going often for ranking pieces (or many meters at all). My last 2k is already some time ago and was a 6:58.x, cannot remember exactly right now. I think this wasn't representing full effort at this time, and surely not now. I would estimate 6:50 could be achievable.
In the next months I probably will revisit some ranking pieces, as I get my own skierg next days

Hahaha, I've got far more chance of a birthday weekend with her than getting a PB. I really doubt that will be beaten, but I'll still live in hope

Thx, Stu

I was sure I could beat my old PB on a good day, but was very surprised it worked so well yesterday, when the lingering effects of the Rowbin Hood interval session and the training the days before were still doing their thing

My body is very forgiving of my current exertions and is still performing really well!

It's obviously really hard to know if you can do better, but I personally do respond to doing more intense stacked sessions than spacing them out. No idea why and it's totally counter intuitive

I also respond well to higher volume at proper intensity. But sometimes I miss the right point to dial back a little bit

Marathon PB by accident.
It all started with "do it for the pin". I opted for the average pace of my FM I did nearly 2 years ago, so went with 2:02.x.
Halfway done I thought I could ramp up the pace, as I did in the first one as well and see how that goes. No intentions for a massive PB, as strength session yesterday and Rowbin Hood session the day before took really something out of me, which is indicated by the higher starting HR.

I've done this with no food and drinks again. Two small sips to wet my mouth at ca. 25 and 35k. At second "break" I put some small pads under my butt, as I had some discomfort the first time (more on the left side, indicating I'm not working fully symmetrical). This is why the split is a bit slower.
All considered this was an amazing row!

Huge improvement Sascha - great stuff - anything over 1s on short sprints shouldn't be possible! But of course it was .1 too slow for the full whooppeee, that will have to wait until next time!
