I'm looking at buying a row machine to use as another tool in helping my kids stay competitive in wrestling. (folkstyle) one boy is 8 the other is 13 years old..Pulling exercise are the most important exercise you can do for wrestling. I saw one of these machines on TV and a MMA Fighter was using it for conditioning...I also used one about 12 years ago in a gym for a few months and I loved it...
So what model should I buy? Don't need anything fancy just basic for a great workout. I will be using it as well 6'2'' 240lbs.
Thanks for the help.

Vince,
Being that this is a Concept 2 rowing site, I think most everyone is going to tell you to get a Concept 2 of course. In terms of getting a very good workout, there are probably other manufacturers in the same price range whose machines will provide just as good of a workout as the Concept 2.
The advantage with the Concept 2 is that they have a reputation for being the gold standard. Many College Crews use them. They are very well built and super easy to maintain. Also, you or your sons may get hooked on it and really get into the competitive aspect of indoor rowing. Not aware of any other organized indoor rowing competitions that use anything other than the Concept 2.
