(1) of those (6) is hers - she rides too; she'll notice!

Yeah the 500 m test is more of a "What can you Bench" thing. It is a quick easy test. As far as "training" there are many ways to use the rower for the type of riding. I want to start getting more good workouts for our sports on paper. If you have any you like email me and I will give you credit for the workout and turn it into a training video on YouTube and eventually it will be on RacerX VT and our site. You can submit anything you like even if it incorporates off rower stuff like crunches or weights. This is just to help the guys that want something to do and don’t know where to start if someone really wants to take it further than they can call Steve Bubel to dial in their training. I will email Sean Dennie to make sure everything is cool. I was wondering about him too. - Greg

Yeah, I know I just shortened that quote to make my point, but that's one of the sickest things ever said. I think the 2k is the most brutal distance because it's virtually full out for way too many minutes (almost 8, for me) but I'm going to try to think "I love the 2k, I love the 2k..." while I psych up for my race this weekend. Soooo much of it is mental!

2K is just like ripping off a band aid. If the Band Aid is 20 feet long stuck to leg hair and takes 8 minutes to get off! - Greg

It may sound sick but we have a whole album of very fit guys and gals that are either puking or passd out. Hey we have all been there. Thats when you have to go to your"happy place". What are you shooting for?

I'm still a month away from my heavy work. Loosing lbs now, but the month before moto begins, I'm gonna start pounding - and yacking if that's what happens.

I've already gained a lot of strength which doesn't show up on the scale as lost weight, but I feel frig'n tight already.

Have you guys/gals seen my big bike:

I love that pic, but not the white stuff in the background and that's nothing when comp'd to what we've got now.

I'm a pass-outer myself, not a puker. That's why I use a model D instead of a model E

I just want to do better than last year (to prove I'm not degrading in old age yet), so that would be under 7:58. No where near what I'd need to get C2 to fly me to Boston! I would've come in 13th or 14th there last year and they only pay if you've got a shot at winning. Hopefully I'll get another "Tough Enough" t-shirt at least.

I have to jump in here and say..really great looking bike!!
I am not a rider..I tried my hand at motorcycles.I took the class..got my learners permit..practiced a bit but just never got good enough to get my license. We have a motorcycle..Honda VTX..and I ride the back.I know you guys and gals are in to motocross but I still enjoy reading your posts and seeing the pictures.Maybe in my next lifetime I will ride dirt bikes and race..it sure looks like fun and riding a motorcycle is a rush.
Great job with the JVC too!!
That was another wild ride.

That's because he's an MX'er. They spend they're time polishing and replacing graffics, when they get a scratch in them. :D I'd post a picture of my Honda CRF off road bike, but you'd swear it was 20 years old, instead of the three that it is. My radiator shrouds are held together with ziptie stitches. And my frame isn't anywhere near as polished. But it does have a fresh set of valves and a piston for the new season.

here is my new 08.
Typical offroaders bike...still dirty, mismatched color hand guards...etc..
(on second thought, this is actually pretty clean...)
