I was going to pull it the other day but, unfortunately, I came down with some ass-kicking allergies a few days prior. I made an attempt but I just couldn't breathe and had absolutely no energy. I made it 764 meters and just about passed out. I was on a 6:45 pace which would have been a full MINUTE off my previous best.

I was only trying to shave 15 seconds off my record so I went out WAY too fast, too. I just went with what felt natural but obviously my pacing needs a little work. In any case, I'm still feeling like crap so I guess I am going to have to get back to training when I can and retest at the end of THIS month.

For what it's worth, my training this month went extremely well and my lacrosse conditioning is the best it has ever been.

Did a PB last night, but not a typical session, or at least one that qualifies for jack...

A while ago, Greg noted a routine where he does 1000M then 25 push-ups - 8X. I've been doing 1000M & 20 push-ups - 10X. Hit the 10kM in 41:55 last night. Tell you what, I'm more pumped up after that routine that any chest/tri training @ the gym. This is a great routine and it's one that I do a lot now.

I've also been alternating 10 min row, 10 min run (treadmill) 3X each. It's an easy way to bag some decent cardio time.

Anywho, moto season is quickly approaching - gonna hit a couple tracks in CO in two weeks then shortly after that, the track I ride most will open and we're on.

Hey, is Team Moto participating in the NARC? I've managed to slog through 141K since March 1, much better than my JVC pace, so I hope so.

My rowing will be tapering as riding season is approaching. But I'll still try to do some, mixed in with other stuff.

Just got back from a weekend of fast trail riding in MO. For all practical purposes, this is the first extended riding I've been able to do since last November. We rode about 125 miles for the weekend of hard rocky single track. I was riding my new 450 KTM, which is a bike that will work you, if you're not in shape.

I've got to say, I feel pretty good Monday morning. I'm not sore and feel like I could ride today. I was able to keep my bike at race pace for most of this ride. I'm sure the rower played an important role in how I feel. Too bad I can't seem to peel off that last 10 pounds though.

If you register the team I'll join it. I'm not doing as many metres as in January because I'm rowing on the water more now, plus riding. But who cares? Just do what you can do, right? I logged 13km this morning.
AND I do still want to do my 2km timed that we talked about doing in Feb. I'm only a month behind on that one :?

Hmmm. Seems as if I should give Greg right of refusal, since it's his boat. Greg, wanna register? Or mind if I do? I'm assuming anyone with Team Moto listed as an affiliation would automatically be a part of NARC if the team registers, but maybe not?

Sorry for the delayed response, btw... Saturday was the premiere of my husband's moto home movie at our local Sundance Cinema, and prepping for that took up most of my week. I know Team Moto is mostly dirt devils, but I'll still post up a link to the movie once we've got it online. It's kinda fun if you're motorically inclined.

Does the stuff we've logged before now (but since Mar.15) automatically get calculated in?
Not that I've done a lot on the erg lately.

Yes, it should bring all the meters from the beginning of NARC automatically.
