Re: BikeErg PB Thread.
Hey John you really been working hard there man, well done. You have beaten my best by 12 secs
.
I set a new pb last week on the 500m I took 0.1 off my previous best. The blooming bike would not record the time the first two times I started. I reckon it cost me a couple of tenths. I am very close to the British record as well, joint 7th in the world.
500m, 42.8, watts 554, rpm 105, av 1.25.8, df 100.

Nice going, Dutch!
You should write down the verification codes when you're getting new records.

Cheers John. I do write down the number, but when I go to enter it then it will not accept it on the concept 2 website. I have no clue why.

Dutch, keep trying.
The numbers & letters are easy to transpose, especially the D's, Oh's, Zeros, the B's and 8's.
I've missed them a number of times, had to go back and check and then they always have worked.
Also make sure the dates, times and distances are correct.

Re: BikeErg PB Thread.
Did a 30 min cycle today, I started a little too fast above pace but felt quite good so just carried on and was pleasantly surprised to break my previous best by 145m. I did have more in me physically but lacked the mental willingness to go all out.
Happy though that an average of 85 df is proving to be the most suitable for me after months of playing about with it.
30 mins, 14811m, 195 watts, 79 rpm, av 2.01.5, df 84.

Re: BikeErg PB Thread.
Nice one Casey, well paced averages for each 200 considering it is over a 1k and not too much of a drop off at the end.
I would guess alot of distance work does help with stamina at the sprints as well?

Thanks Dutch,
Yes, a bit. Distance work won’t help much with pure sprint speed, but it is beneficial for longer sprints like the 1km. The longer it is the more aerobic component there is, so the more important longer stuff is.

Impressive Casey.
How many km's on average are you doing on the Bike-Erg per week?

What can help with pure sprint speed most do you think? I would guess something like squats and leg work is it ?

Re: BikeErg PB Thread.
Quite a lot. 5 sessions a week on average. Probably 5-7 hours in total. Also row, do weights, ride outdoors and occasionally do SkiErg.deadlifting265 wrote: ↑February 1st, 2022, 5:11 pmImpressive Casey.
