HOCR Alumni Event
It is 56 Days until the Head of the Charles and my high school has decided to submit entries for the Alumni 8+ events. I have committed myself for the women's event and would like to use my Concept2 to prepare since I have not rowed competitively or really at all due to lack of local rowing clubs for the past 8 years. I have used my Concept2 sporadically over the years, but I'll admit it's been a while. Does anyone have suggestions for a training plan to follow? It would be nice to use something that someone else has found helpful rather than try to come up with something completely from scratch. I figure I can commit to erging 3-4 days a week between work and other commitments. I certainly don't expect to reach my peak performance level in 8 weeks, but I'd like to be more than just "comfortable" rowing a 6k distance by race day. There are tons of plans out there to train for running events, but I'm not confident they can be directly translated since I never felt that my running vs. rowing ability were all that much related.
